What color is “E”

What color is the letter “E”? It’s red. E is the most used letter in the English language.

It should stand out. E encompasses everything.

It’s one of the first letters children learn. For some reason, they even learn the term “schwa e” in first grade. I know I did. I still don’t know what it means. I just know long e, silent e. Like in my name. I tell people to spell it with a long e, a double “n”,  and  a silent “e.”

I can see kids losing their minds writing every “e” in red, switching colors to write an “e” with a red pencil, pen, or crayon in every sentence. Would it help them with spelling? What an exercise to write each “e” in red. How many times did they use it? How many “Es” were in each sentence? Did all sentences have an “e”? All of mine did.

What color is e?

Encompassing everything

It has to be read.

If you really want to blow the minds of the students, introduce them to the novel, Gadsby. It was written without using any words that contain the letter ‘e’. 🙂

Surely, the vowel letter E is widely used in writing. Interesting activity, Devonne
