The Albacore sat high above the traffic. “Fuck with me will ya?” he said to himself. Smug in the knowledge that he’d not only thwarted a sixty thousand dollar heist, he was just shy of catching the idiots who decided to scam the wrong dude. He watched them drive their electric car at the drive through of In-N-Out Burger, stupid college kids with what they thought were superior AI skills. Ha.

The Albacore pointed his phone at their vehicular unit with the app he’d created. The car decelerated, and stopped in the middle of a busy intersection. The hundred-grand luxury car began to smoke under the stop light as it went from yellow to red. “What the fuck?” said Jeb, his eyes as wild as his greasy shoulder length hair. He shouldn’t have taken the time to look at his partner, Doug, the bespeckled nerd, in the passenger seat. They should have at least gotten out of the car.

Boom! The slam from the crash happened fast, like crashes do. The Raggedy Ann and Andy scammers were tossed around inside the car like popcorn. The Albacore chuckled at the scene from his vantage point atop the casino. “Dumbasses, there’s a reason there is a seatbelt law,” he said to those in the car as if they could hear him.

Sirens wailed within seconds. “The fools won’t even get it, but these jackasses won’t be taking anyone else’s money anytime soon, if ever.” Firefighters cut them out of their already ruined car, emergency medical technicians loaded them into ambulances, and hauled them off to hospitals. 

The red light went just as planned, but the lack of seat belts had been a bonus. The Albacore walked to the stairs of the rooftop. “Scarma,” he thought. His job here was done. 

Police were on hand to take statements.
