My Commandments

Published by

My personal commandments are not religious, but they have a spiritual ring to them, I suppose. They are today’s commandments. I may change my mind somewhere down the road. I know they would have been different before I had children. The crone is evolving,

  1. Be kind. There is too much meanness in the world, Don’t contribute to it. Be a peacemaker and inherit the earth.
  2. Love. I didn’t know how much I could love until I had kids. Didn’t know what it really felt like. True love isn’t giddy, it’s to the bone. Everyone should love and be loved as much as they can be.
  3. Have faith in yourself. Don’t be afraid. I spent too much time worrying and being afraid someone would be angry with me. Most people don’t pay attention to other people. You’re in charge of your life, don’t be afraid to control it. Don’t let it happen, make it happen.
  4. Be brave.

      5.   Be creative. Make life interesting.

      6.   Smile more. Friendliness is next to Godliness.

            7.   Enjoy life, even if it means dressing funky or wearing big glasses on occasion.

      8.   Don’t run off people, but don’t let them take advantage either.

      9.   Earn your keep.

    10.   Control your emotions, especially anger at work. At home I’m too sentimental and let myself get down.

PS. Do no harm.

All wonderful goals to strive for each day, Devonne. I have similar goals, although I add “do no harm” to my list.
