…breathe deeply and often…

Devonne Brown

Devonne Brown is from Hurricane, West Virginia. She has taught English forever. She enjoys finding out that her writing lessons were good ones.

Writer, English Teacher, Mom

Devonne Brown loves to tell tales of all kinds. She is a mother of twin men, and a writer who harbors cats and antiques. She teaches English between summers, writing workshops, and weekends. She swears she will finish her novel one day.

In addition to her blog, http://www.athesuaurus.com, a collection of essays, poetry, and short stories, she has written a book under the name, D.L. Brown, Norris Tales, the Adventures of an Awful Housecat, an anthology of short stories that revolve around family tyrant Norris, a cat of unusual presence and demeanor. No one needs a cat like Norris, but thankfully, a shelter picked him off of the streets to save other unsuspecting citizens from his unbridled condescension.

If anybody ever gets this far in the details, I belong to a seven day a week writing group. We write at seven every morning, except Saturday, then we sleep in and write at eight.

The sequel to Norris Tales has been in the hands of a publisher since October. (Haven’t heard squat.) Sadly, there is a cast of other creatures for Norris to terrorize. Opal the poodle, and Madam, the black cat are his new victims.

Stella, the household Chihuahua passed away in 2019. Bless her.
